The cradle of wine, from 6000 BC. The birthplace of wine. Georgia is world’s oldest known wine-producing region. Ancient clay vessels were uncovered, dating back 8,000 years at an archeological dig in southeastern Georgia.

Ancient Georgian traditional Qvevri wine-making method is listed as UNESCO’s Intangible Heritage.
