historic vinicultural land. Hillsides of the volcanic Carpathians, a lot of the sun and
sufficient water amount predetermined the development of winemaking on these lands
since ancient times.
Chateau Chizay was built in 1995 after decades of hard times for Ukrainian winemaking

tradition, being built at the site of a historical winery from the 17th century in the
middle of a winemaking valley named Chizay.

hectares (680 acres). And it is one of the largest producers from the Dealu Mare Vineyard.
The avant-garde architecture and the investment in production technology made
Budureasca one of the most modern wineries in Romania.
Davino

Davino is Romania’s wine aristocracy and a founding force of the country’s super-premium
wine sector. Established in 1997 in the highly regarded Dealu Mare DOC by Dan Balaban,
Davino was among the first private wineries to emerge after the fall of communism, setting
a new national benchmark for quality from its inception. Since 1998, the estate has been led
by winemaker Bogdan Costachescu, whose technical expertise and stylistic clarity have been
instrumental in Davino’s long-term consistency and reputation.
Davino’s wines are recognised as reference standards by the universities of Bucharest and
Iași, reflecting the winery’s precision, reliability, and educational significance. Today,
Davino occupies a leading position within Romania’s wine landscape and is widely regarded
as one of Eastern Europe’s most accomplished producers of indigenous grape varieties,
while also excelling in refined blends with classic French grapes. This status is further
underlined by Davino being the only Romanian winery awarded four stars in Hugh
Johnson’s Wine Guide.
The winery is dedicated to estate-grown viticulture, cultivating approximately 90 hectares of
vineyards across the prestigious Ceptura commune. A combination of clay and limestone
soils contributes structure, balance, and age-worthiness to the portfolio, producing both
expressive reds and elegant whites.
In the cellar, Davino follows a low-intervention approach, favouring spontaneous
fermentation with ambient yeasts and minimal sulphur additions to preserve purity and
terroir expression. Its diverse portfolio spans leading international varieties alongside
Romania’s most important native grapes, unified by a commitment to consistent,
benchmark quality, with organic certification targeted for 2028.
KSG
Temuri Dakishvili is the 4th generation of winemakers in the Dakishvili family. Having started the Vita Vinea winery, with it’s own distinctive quality and taste and now also head winemaker of Teliani Valley, Temuri is on his way to become another authority when it comes to wine making in Georgia. Continuing the tradition… With a father that has the reputation of being one of the best winemakers of Georgia, there are some really big footsteps to fill.
Temuri however, has already proven to continue the legacy. As winemaker of the Vita Vinea vineyard, he has shown that he has his own unique style combined with the highest level of quality. His wines are also highly favored by the wine drinking community: on vivino they have scores well over 4.0/5.0 which is outstanding!
It is to no surprise he has also started working as winemaker of Teliani Valley, a position his father Giorgi has held in the past as well. Big wine producers like these do not like to take risks and only work with the best in the field. And they know that the Dakishvili offers the best winemakers. We are already curious for Temuri’s son Davit, which kind of great wines he will make in the future! The wineyard Dakishvili Vinyards is a small family winery in the village Shalauri near the town Telavi in Eastern part of Georgia.
They have been growing grapes and producing wine for nearly 10 decades. With traditional and fantastic grapes like Saperavi, Rkatsiteli and Kisi grown on their own vineyards. All their wines are “estate bottled”. They (barrel and qvevri)-age in the wine cellar and release wines later than others to allow them to develop and mature.
The wines are sold direct to the leading Georgian restaurants and in the best wine boutiques. It’s rare to be in Singapore- Wine Kaypoh!
Papari Valley

A very small-scale producer that has a very limited production which is sold out almost immediately after release.
Only a very tiny allocation for Singapore. A natural wine producer.
