Producer
Set in the south-eastern corner of Moldova just 30km from the Black Sea, Chateau Purcari has long been associated with top quality wines made from both local and international grape varieties.
In 1827 Purcari was officially established as Bessarabia’s first winery by the Russian Tsar Nicholas I and its wines began to attract global attention by winning gold medals at the Paris World Exhibition in 1878. Today the winery is recognised as one of the region’s finest for its hearty reds and elegant whites.
Tasting Notes
Negru de Purcari is the king of red wines – noble, with a rich structure and a perfect bouquet.
The scarlet red color is characterized by a complex and intense bouquet, with notes of sweet fruits – ripe plums and figs – which develop over time, coupled in the end with fine flavors of spices and saffron. Deep and velvety, with fruit flavor and ample hints of delicate tannins and a long sensual aftertaste.

Sweet fruits, ripe plum, figs, spices.
Palate
Full bodied, good concentration, dark berries.
