Domäne Roland Chan is the realisation of a dream of Roland Müksch and his family in 2017 – the creation of a boutique winery featuring the dry wall terraces in the heart of the Wachau. The terraces are toiled manually with deep respect for nature. The wines are a pure expression of the cultural heritage landscape. Since 2019 member of the Vinea Wachau.
In 2021 Domäne Roland Chan is complete with their home in Wösendorf, a winery in Sankt Michael and over 2 hectares vineyards in their 4 distinct sites of: Achleiten, Klaus, Bach and Höll. The logo of Domäne Roland Chan displays a strong family tie. It consists of five zodiac animals surrounding the family name “Chan” in Chinese. The three tigers are Roland himself, his son- Oliver and his father-in-law. The horse is his wife, Sharon, and the dragon is his daughter, Isabella.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Striking youthful nose of white thorn blossoms, Asian pears and white pepper
Palate
Very spicy and herbal on the creamy, medium-bodied palate. In spite of the modest acidity, finishes firm and bright thanks to the citrus zest character.
