Chateau Purcari

The most iconic and historical wine producer in Moldova. Established in 1827 by Royal decree of Imperial Russian Czar Nicolas I.

Located in the Purcari village of Ștefan Vodă (Protected Geographical Indication) wine region
of South-Eastern Moldova.

Became famous at the 1878 Paris World Expo and was widely served to royal courts across
Europe most notably the Great Britain and the Russian Empire.

Completely renovated and privatized in early 2000s.
